Welcome to the Callahan County Library and Pioneer Museum

If you are interested in the history of Callahan County there are 2 books currently available:  "Early Days in Callahan County"  by B. C. Chrisman is available from Abilene Printing and Stationary, 1274 N. 2nd St., Abilene, Texas 79601 (325) 667-2673 and is $34.95 + tax.  "I Remember Callahan" by the Callahan County Historical Association can be purchased through the library, it is $55, please make checks to the Historical Association.  If mailed postage will be added.  The Southwest Collection at Texas Tech University is digitalizing the Baird / Callahan Star (1887 - 1973) and the Cross Plains Review (1911 - 1948).
