Who We Are
The Callahan County Library and Pioneer Museum is located in the basement of the Callahan County Courthouse, 100 W. 4th Street. We provides free services to all residents living within the county. There is no charge to tour the museum.
We are open 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday - Friday, we are closed the same holidays as the courthouse.
The Callahan County Library was started in 1937 by the Baird Wednesday Club, the Pioneer Museum was added in 1941, also by the Wednesday Club. While a federated club the Wednesday Club won numerous awards for each.
